Confirmation

Welcome to the SEAS Confirmation Program!

Here at SEAS, we begin preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation at the beginning of 9th grade.  In the past, SEAS has run as a two year program.  However, this year (2017-2018) we are transitioning to a one year program.

This year, our 10th grade students will complete their Confirmation Preparation by continuing to meet every other week from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and fulfilling requirements described in the student handbook (link is below).  10th grade students will be confirmed on Thursday, May 10th at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

9th grade students will be meeting every Sunday from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and fulfilling the same requirements as the 10th grade students.  9th grade students will be confirmed on Monday, May 21st at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Our Goal

The goal of the SEAS Confirmation Program is to help each student gain a greater knowledge of the Catholic faith, form a deeper relationship with Christ, and come to understand what their role is in the Catholic Church.

Confirmation is a gift.  Our entire faith is a gift.  There is nothing greater or more important then faith.  Our hope is that by the end of Confirmation prep, each student will understand this.

How is this accomplished?

Many ways!  The curriculum which our Confirmation program is centered around is called Chosen.  Chosen was created by Ascension Press and features excellent speakers and great content for our volunteer catechists to lead the students through each class.  Each class provides the students with opportunities for prayer and discussion.
