Children's Liturgy of the Word

Parents: THANK YOU for bringing your children to Mass! We know it is sometimes difficult for young children to engage with the readings. Therefore, we warmly invite children who have not yet received their Holy Communion to Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) on Sundays during the 10:00 a.m. Mass. This program is facilitated by Tom and Shelly Brenny, and is offered only during the school year.

Your child(ren) are called to the front after the Opening Prayer, receive a blessing from Fr. Dave, process out as a group, then return to your pew during the Prayer of the Faithful.

A few reminders: CLOW is not a daycare or babysitting service, it is a program where children listen to and reflect on the  Sunday scripture readings in a way that's appropriate for their age and interests. Children need to be independent enough to leave their parents. A young child may be  accompanied by a sibling, but only one within the approved age range (4 - 8 years). Once a child has made their first Holy Communion, they are expected to attend the entirety of Mass.

We are also looking for youth volunteers, 8th grade and up.
